Author: Evina, Faylinn,
Subject: When the strange voice piped up from their table, all of the dranlings looked at each other.
In reply to: Coremar 's message, "It was the last meal of the day" on 19:58:02 12/20/01 Thu

"Who said that?" Evina wondered aloud. Her gaze wandered the table as she asked, trying to figure that out.

"Wasn't me," Faye muttered, "I don't think I'm quite cut out for these kinds of things."

"I'm not exactly the adventurous sort either," Evina admitted.

Aislyn looked kind of thoughtful, "I might've gone, but I'm not so sure I want to." It was inexplicable- she was home at the Dran, for once in her life, and she didn't yet feel the need to leave.

Camryn listened in interest. Sure, such an adventure was appealing, but it was more of a sort of boyish daydream to him.

Tylan, however, was seriously considering applying. It would get him out of the Dran before Daenar, or worse, Terall, could chase him down. He was almost amazed that they hadn't already. But then again, he had made sure that his old name, Tallon, appeared on the lists that had circulated the Drans. Still, he felt the incessant need to move on.

Taean, too, thought hard about the opportunity at hand.
He could finally prove his worth to all of the doubters, especially that foster mother of his, Adria. Besides, Akiru was up to it, and he needed a good challenge. Still, he hesitated, unsure of himself. In his mind, being rejected would be worse than never applying, and he had no special skills that might interest the redrider.
