I caught her. Daerel reminded him pridefully. Outside, on the ledge, the handsome copper watched the still sleeping red.

I remember. S'vron replied, all of the previous day's events coming back to him like a half-faded dream, clarifying as he looked up and saw the rider whose dragon his copper had caught. And realized she was awake. He sat up quickly.
