How to get back on track? Well to be honest there is no easy way. The only way is to just do it. Make up your mind to restart today (or tomorrow) and commit yourself to two weeks straight. After that buy the appropriate foods, hide or get rid of all the inappropriate foods and just go for it.

I know where you are coming from. I have been bad for the whole month of July, and now am pushing myself to get back on track. Because it is a new month it is easy to join the new challenge, commit along with your new found friends here on this board and stick to it.

Post every day, tell us of your committment and your progress. Admit your failings if you have them. Sometimes knowing that you will have to "confess" tomorrow to all of us makes it easier to prevent yourself from cheating today.

One other thing. Set a goal for August. Where do you want to be by the end of the month? Make the goal reasonable and attainable (or at least just a little bit of a stretch) and then set out to do it.

Carb cravings come and go. Hormonal changes can trigger them, but eating carbs only makes you want them more. Start thinking of all the wonderful high protein meals you can have and plan your taste buds around those. (Think how wonderful a nice juicy steak with A-1 sauce would taste right now).

Hope this was some help. Sometimes when I'm really bad, I just come on here and ask my friends for a good solid kick in the butt. They are always here to supply it... (and they do it with humor so it doesn't sting too much).
