Subject: It will be different...

If you make up your mind to make it different. No one can make this choice for you. Only you.

Low carb allows you to lose weight quickly and for the most part painlessly. But it isn't without sacrifices. Sugars, and starches create a vicious circle of hunger that isn't "real" hunger. At least it isn't necessary hunger.

By eating high protein and some fat, you will find that your appetite can be satisfied and stay satisfied until it is really time to eat again. You won't be doing the yo yo up and down, insulin spikes, blood sugar drops, need more sugar over and over again thing.

But, you can still have days when that cookie calls to you, and you can still have weeks where it is hard to get back on track. You can still "lose it all and then gain it all back and then some". Keep in mind that nothing has changed in that regard. In order to keep the weight off you have to STOP doing the things that put the weight on in the first place.

Low carb will help you get there. Keeping it off will mean changing your lifestyle. It has to become a way of life (WOL) or a way of eating (WOE) for you. When it has become that you will see the kind of success you long for.

But if you are like me, you may have to do even more. You may have to increase your excercise levels too.

Good luck. It can work for you. But you must have a realistic attitude toward it all. Realize that eating too much sugar and starches made you fat. Going back to eating them again will make you fat again. There is no magic pill.
