Subject: Lactose problem

Was on calcium carbonate but read that it was too slow releasing. Switched to lactose. Even though I never felt that I was lactose intolerant, I now have heartburn and stomach problems. Is it the lactose? What do I do now? I do not want to go with Advicel because of negative comments I've read, and my compounding pharmacist told me he considers it to be rather slow in releasing. Should I try cornstarch next? By the way, I didn't feel any different with the lactose than I did with calcium carbonate.

Linda
