Subject: OFF TOPIC: Update on Dim's book "Destination:Berlin" Author: DimWitt [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10:15:24 03/10/01 Sat Hi guys, just wanted to give you guys an update on my book... What's this about a book, Dim? you ask... Well, about 3 weeks about iUniverse.com agree to publish my book "Destination:Berlin" under their "Writer's Showcase" program. I just finished "proofing" the book yesterday. What that means is that I've the cover (and it's gorgeous...) and the actual pages itself. Once I turn the proofs in, and I did that yesterday, iUniverse will prepare the book for publishing. That should take 3-4 weeks. The book will be availiable for download electroniclly or you can order a paperback version through any online bookstore like "Barnes & Noble" or "Amazon.com". When it's availiable, I'll let you know. And if you want an autographed copy, I'll try to work something out. So, Dim what's the book about? The book is a military action/adventure/thriller. The herione, CPL Sharon Cates is transporting top secret gov't documents UNBEKNOWST to her and her train to Berlin is derailed in the middle of communist East Germany. She has to get to Berlin with the help of a Soviet Soldier. The "B" story has her friends trying to clear her name back in her unit. I'll keep you updated when it's ready for release....
