A smile played at her lips at his request and she nodded, before pressing a final, brief kiss to his lips and turning on her heel, heading back over to the counter to get their drinks. She loved how things were with them now... it had been pretty rocky to begin with... and it had taken a hell of a lot of getting used to. She had never been the relationship type of girl... she'd never had any emotional attatchment to anyone except her mother, and after her mother ran away she vowed she would never let herself get in that situation again... but Joey had taught her some very valuable lessons about life... and she had decided she had to start living- really living. Lysia's death had been her first step into accepting this life... Lysia had been the first person she had let in in a long time... and although it still hurt a great deal, Nina had accepted that she was going to go through hurts... but that the love and joy she would get would be worth it. If she had never let Lysia in then she would never have had her best friend, and she was glad she had known her even if it had ended so painfully. Lysia's death had brought her even closer to Joey... made her more vunerable perhaps... but it was okay... she was still a strong girl and she knew no matter what happened to her she could always pick herself up. She wasn;t afraid anymore. She woke from her thoughts as the waitress asked to take her order, and she asked for the black coffee and a vanilla frappocino for herself, glancing back over her shoulder to her boyfriend as she waited, offering him a soft smile. Love... now that was the trick wasn't it? She had known right from the off that she loved him... right fromt he first time he had hugged her and told her she was worth more than she had ever been treated. She was a patient girl though... and she wasn;t going to rush him. As soon as he was ready , she'd be right there with him. She paid for the drinks and took them, heading back over to where he sat and setting his mug down for him, dropping down close beside him in the comfortably loveseat with her iced drink.
