I MUST SAY THAT LETTING THAT HAPPEN TO THE BALLROOM IS A TOTAL OUTRAGE! They have all this cash for a convention center, why not find money to restore Idora? Why wasnt that churCh group that owned it responsiable for up keep? Why did they not recieve any fines??? HOW EVERYONE JUST LET THIS HAPPEN ITS SICK! I FEEL SOO SAD THAT THIS IS THE WAY YOUNGSTOWN IS. IT IS NOTHING BUT A TOWN WITH NO CLASS OR THOUGHT FOR BEAUTY. IN FACT IT IS A BIG GARBAGE DUMP WITH A FEW MALLS SURROUNDING IT. I hope that someone can do something to at least save the JACK RABBIT. THANK YOU, WENDY

i just cant get over it. everytime i look at those sad,
ghostly pictures i get a terrible feeling inside. its like i lost an old friend. i know that there is probably no way they could ever bring the park back; but i do wish that someone could save the jack rabbit someway. something that stands for that many years and survives all those fires should be preserved and enjoyed by others. maybe at another park. i dont have the answer, but i do have the memories of going there when i was a child and young teen. nobody can ever take those away!! i only wish my own children could have experienced the charm and joy of a small hometown park.
thanks to everyone who cares and who has helped. christine
