Possibly, but actually the learning process starts early in the first few years of a child's life. A child mostly learns whatever from his environmnet....if a child is raised in a violent home (spousal abuse and actual child beating) then is it any surprise that the child will grow up with issues and agendas that he doesn't fully understand and is frustrated to the point of thinking it's okay cause daddy did it! I have seen that!!! In this area of the South, they are called Rednecks! On the other hand, you have parents that are strict as far as paddling the youngster's hiney when they're are bad, but also affirms good behavior with praise, taught right from wrong at home before they ever get to Headstart or Kindergarten, the child will be more emotionally and mentally adjusted despite his peers. Then you have the preteens which are going through the 1st real set of changes that make them unsure and such. As long as the parents have kept an open line of communication the kids will talk to the parent(s) about such matters. Also with teens, the communication line needs to be kept open, yet the parent needs to LISTEN as well as advise! Teen years are not only upsetting for the kids it's a very strange time for the parents too! The parents know the game...but, someone went and changed the rules and didn't tell them!! With media and the new games coming out showing more explicit and graphic violence that looks more and more real with each game, and parents would rather go buy these games then sit down and explain to their kids that this is just a game, they would rather just throw the games at the kids and not be bothered...then be ready to sue when another kid raised the same way mows down their kid in a public place because they had not been parentally guided either!! Think about it. It all boils down to parental guidance, accepting responsibility for your own actions and old fashioned teaching right from wrong!!
