Date Posted: 10:39:47 01/27/04 Tue The best athletic dynamic duo in the state has to be Tom and Garrett Edwards of Downers North. The two brothers are unstoppable not only on the hardwood but also football and baseball fields. Tom Edwards was by far the most electrifying player in the WSC Silver this year for football and he is just starting to hit his stride on the basketball court as well. Garrett Edwards was a star wideout this year for North and he has continued to excel as a rising soph on the basketball court as well. Expect big things out of this superb athlete in the coming years. Fresh off a big victory over Oak Park this dynamic duo believes North has the firepower to make an impact this postseason. Tom Edwards was quoted saying, "I think we can really make a push in are sectional." Tom and Garret Edwards attribute their excellent seasons due to the training they received from Connor Lavalle and Dean Pentaris in the offseason as well as from a mystery guest. This foursome dedicated themselves to making the North athletic program rise above and beyond. Perhaps the biggest player in all this excellent growth for all these players was the mystery guest. His name Chauncy. Chauncy has been training high school athletes under the radar for 5 seasons now. His training regiment is so grueling that it puts people like Jerry Rice to shame. Other athletes he has worked with include Reece Gaines, Joe Girardi, Travis Diener, and Othyus Jeffries. For all high school athletes out there try to get Chauncy as your trainer so that perhaps you can excel like Edwards', Pentaris, and Lavalle have.
