Subject: A-Team Returns!

Saturday, February 23rd, the CHS A-Team made a one-time only return appearance at TSU. Team members Shane Allen, Luke Maddux, Kathleen Smith, Jeff Spurlock and Sam Wantland with two hours of practice under their belts competed against seventeen other teams and ended up finishing SECOND losing only to Cookeville which is currently ranked # 2 in the country according to one quiz bowl poll. Both Sam and Shane made all-tournament and all five team members played very well and gave an effort of which all A-Teamers can be quite proud.

Since my name was listed on Central paperwork and on TSU paperwork and the "coach" and since I have now married into the "family," I feel I can add to the announcement regarding the latest A Team win.
During the course of the very long day (If you've been to TSU, you know what I mean.), the team enjoyed some very easy wins. However, there were also some close games in which they needed not only our moral support ("Good Job!") but also our protests ("You know that is the rule on the circut.") The cheerleaders were Daddy Franklin (Bud), Mrs. Allen, Frank, and Mrs. Franklin. We will let you guess who protested the loudest. You might be surprised at the answer.

So is the A-team gonna come out once a year, reassert it's dominance then retreat back to the shadows? Or will the lack of trained talent in a couple years cause the fountain of crappy folder knowledge to dry up? Glad to hear yall are still representin' Mule town USA.

Man! I wish I had known you guys were going to be in Nashville Saturday because I was here starved for entertainment. I totally would have brought out the pom-poms and joined the cheerleader ranks. Congrats on the great performance!
