  • His expression remained thoughtful, carefully buffering any expressions of surprise or incredulousness. He didn't want to scare her off of telling her story - as much as he wanted to know, he thought it might be a bit therapeutic for her to finally be getting it off her chest too, coming clean and not having to harbor secrets anymore. "My brothers have a house here , renting it from a friend of a friend or something, I dont get involved... but we have to keep everything pretty quiet... theres a ton of us living there... all of them kids from juvi... and not all of them have done their whole sentence... most of them are really nice though, really good kids that just haven't had a chance in life... my brothers are trying to help give them that chance.. and if they get found out not only will all the kids go back to longer sentences...my brothers willl do a ton more time and I'll end up lost in the foster care system.
