• They had taken her in when they took him in, getting checking her out for any signs of hypothermia or anything like that. She seemed ok, other then a little cold, so they had let her go after prescribing an antibiotic to try and keep pneumonia out of her system. Now, she was still shivering, but sitting at the edge of his bed while Jason and Kaylee talked about what could be wrong with him. She was silent, just watching her boyfriend, waiting for him to wake up and be ok. He had just been confused, that was all, no big deal. Once he woke up everything would be fine. • He blinked a few more times and tried to tilt his head a little to see her better, feeling her hand in his and returning the loving squeeze, murmering as best he could "I'm sorry." He seemed to screw everything up... even a simple night together with friends. He hated to think what everyone was saying about him now... they probably all thought he was crazy... what if he was? • "They are just running some tests baby, you passed out from the cold.." She murmured softly, her brow furrowed as she looked down at him. Her own hand was like ice, they had offered to put her in her own bed and wrap her in electric blankets, put a saline drip in her to get her blood circulating again but she had refused, just wanting to stay at his side. He didnt remember much after he swam out for Skye, or her ghost...or whatever it was. "Did... did they get the girl out?" • She let out a soft breath, her eyes closing at that. There was something obviously wrong with his mind and it broke her heart that he was going through this. "I just got a little wet is all.." She murmured, she didn't want him to feel bad about her going after him either. "Honey..there was no girl out there..just the waves playing tricks with you, thats all.." She stated softly, shivering again as a chill caught her. "You just..you just need to rest a little bit, ok?" She requested softly, a low breath escaping her lips. He opened his dark eyes to her, but concern flashed in them as she shivered, frowning gently "You're still cold..." • "I'm fine.." She assured him, her eyes on him for a long moment before she shifted to brush her hand softly over his forehead. "I know your head hurts baby...just close your eyes and try to rest a little bit ok? I'll see when they are going to let you out of here." She needed a second to compose herself, she was going to break down and she didn't want to do it in front of him, he didn't need anymore to worry about. She didn't think he was crazy, she just thought there was something wrong with him and as soon as the doctors figured out what was going on they would fix him and everything would be better. • He let his eyes slide shut with a sigh, too exhausted and in too much pain to argue. The doctor was moving towards the room to check in on both patients concerned that the girl would go into shock, but he kept checking on her and wasn;t neglecting her, he was a little more concerned with the other patient though, and he wasn;t possitive that he had passed out from the cold. He noticed her coming out of the room as he reached it, and glanced at her face for any signs of her condition deteriorating. "How are the patients? Has he come around?" "He woke up but he asked if we had gotten the girl out..he's been acting strange for a couple of weeks now...I don't know whats wrong with him..." She leaned against the wall, tears slipping out from beneath his lashes as she let out a soft breath, trying to calm himself down. "I just want him to be ok.." • The doctor frowned with concern at this news and motioned across the hall to his office... "Come and have a seat, and we'll have a chat." He wanted to know a little more about this. He lead her into his office and pushed the door to, motioning her into an arm chair while he sat behind his desk. "Acting strange... how do you mean? Iratic behaviour... unusual behaviour? It was possible the hallucinations came from post traumatic stress... but it didnt account for the rest. "I think we should do some scans, brain scans." • She let out a low breath, her brow furrowed gently as she nodded. "Yeah...he was in love with her for a long time..." She stated softly, gnawing on her lower lip as she frowned a little. "..brain scans?" That didn't sound to promising. "What do you think is wrong with him?" • He nodded a little and frowned softly. "Well I don't know yet... I don;t want to jump to conclusions, thats why we need to do the tests, to eliminate any possibilities... It could just be a case of delayed traumer... it could be something more serious than that... I'll get him booked in for a scan first thing in the morning, then we will work froward from there." He frowned a touch at her shivering and stood, handing her a couple of tablets from the bottle in his pocket which would increase her blood circulation "Right now though I want you to eat something and lay down- I've asked the nurses to set up a cot in his room for you, ok?" • She nodded slowly, standing up and heading back towards the room where her boyfriend was sleeping. Instead of going to the cot that they had set up for her though, she went back to his side, sitting on the side of his bed and holding his hand, her cold fingers moving over his forehead soothingly.
