The one thing that both local rags have going for them is that they're just about the only source for local news. Despite bragging that they have a 24/7 newsroom with breaking news as it happens, KDKA-AM hasn't reported anything local on weekends (or overnight) in years.
The online versions of the two papers does update on weekends.
