I find this kind of "criticism" of critics puzzling, to say the least. It is almost as if you are lobbying for a staff reduction simply because other newspapers have slashed Features personnel. You may not like all that you read, but as a newspaper fan I find it rather impressive that the PG has avoided acting the role of lemming and instead maintained a robust arts staff in the face of adversity. Besides, a simple byline count indicates they're not really hiring. Masley's gone, Martinson, Hayes, probably others. It also looks like Carpenter and McNulty have returned to the newsroom.
