There may be some talented reporters, but the problem is the management. When the current executive editor came on 5+ years ago, he turned the paper from a respected, local news oriented publication into a wanna-be New York Times, er, make that The New York Post ... and a poor impersonation at that. The style is completely out of touch with the people who live and work in the area -- and it shows.
Note to mangement; having tabloid headlines does not equal an increase readership. It will not save the paper.
I actually live in the area and the locals attitude toward the BCT is overwhelmingly negative.
