Why is it that I get the impression that these postings may not come from WVU grads but from Manchin supporters or Heather pals?

It's a well known fact in this region that Heather's daddy, Governor Joe, is being touted as odds-on favorite to replace Senator Byrd when he's unable to continue as West Virginia's Senior US Senator.

It's pretty obvious the Manchins and their cronies think they can run the state like a banana republic. And that the controversy the PG unearthed clouds his political future considerably at the same time Republicans have gained power in that state.

Another point, and an important one. These accreditation groups are not tainted by politics and tend to go to the gates of hell to get the truth when a complaint is lodged, so the two posters who believe "it's no big deal" and "it happens all the time" are simply WRONG! When stuff like this goes on, if a complaint is made, it's like a hospital getting in trouble. They have to let the investigation run its course and Lord help a College or University anywhere if they're found to be involved in a coverup.

Accreditation groups are like IRS auditors in their tendency to hold a school's feet to the fire. Those who end up on probation or worst-case, lose their accreditation are, to be indelicate, screwed.

If you think this is tantamount to finding out someone got a parking ticket fixed, guess again. The PG may not get a Pulitzer for this story but they deserve every bit of acclaim they've received. The voters will determine the fate of the Manchin dynasty.
