Sad Truth is right on the money. The only thing I would add -in regards to why BCTers are so defensive - is that even in those days when the BCT was producing exceptional reporting and writing, it never got any respect. You would tell people where you worked and they'd say something like "The Beaver County Times? Is that a weekly?"
