It was interesting of you to speak for me, Kahn. I wasn't sure what I think. Thanks for clearing that up.
I think this whole bit is just writers being writers and doing what they want to do: write. China could have ignored work over in Greece (you know the PG didn't send her there to review a restaurant), but she couldn't help herself. It is the way writers look around, the way they think. Everything, anything can be a story idea. So kudos, China, for thinking of us and sharing your take on that Greek restaurant and its fare. As always it is hit and miss. Some like it, some don't. But you did go the extra mile, no pun intended. Your editors thought it meritorious enough to put in the paper, which could mean they thought it Pulitzer material or they thought it was a slow news day.
But to make this something about snobbery and Mt. Olympus and all the rest is just the symptom of a mind-set that sees what it wants to, even if it isn't there.
