I have worked with presses. (Not for Trib.) I can tell you that no matter what you do in Photoshop, the pressmen will make it worse. Especially during the initial run. Bad color reproduction is not a good reason to stop the press, and it takes some time to adjust and get it right. I can't remember a time it was spot on at startup. Heck, I can't remember it being spot on halfway through the run.

Take a look at the graybar at the bottom of the page next time repro is bad. If it is not uniform, you got an early run paper, and it has nothing to do with Photoshop.
