Sorry folks, the color is just the same. It's hit or miss as it has always been. Beattie was not the problem.

As far as Photoshop controlling the ink density, it does to a degree, but ultimately it comes down to the pressman running the ink on the press.

A standard TIL, or Total Ink Limit, which is set in Photoshop for web offset presses is between 250 - 270. The Trib runs a 350 TIL and the color is still light and inconsistent across the page. Gotta love keyless inking.

With that being said, if Photoshop did truly and completely control the ink output with it being set at 350, you would have over saturation and pages that would take days to dry.
