FRANCIS: "I speak of the pursuit of the truth. The core of our profession."

Glenn Beck and Jeremiah Wright think they're pursuing truth as well. Their versions and variations on truth. Not objective, informed truth.

FRANCIS: "I saw the video on Youtube and did not seek the source."

If so, sir, then you are not a journalist as you claim.

FRANCIS: "It was one of scores from many sources. Who cares."

See my previous response.

FRANCIS: "It appears that the crowds were massive. Huffington puts the crowd estimate at 1500. Let's just say the crowd was 200,000(although based on pictures and video, I would say it appeared several times larger)."

Define "massive," Francis. True journalists do not "just say the crowd was 200,000." They get real numbers. Obviously the biases on both sides obfuscated (look it up if you don't know what it means) the figures.

FRANCIS: "Yeah, the event was largely ignored by the mainstream media."

Because YOU say it was? Sorry, no. It was not. The coverage just did not get through your tinfoil, Francis.

FRANCIS: "Radical Moderate attempts ridicule of a voice perceived by him to be in opposition to his (and yours, and therefore automatically far-right) by speaking of my belief in Bigfoot and Elvis sightings."

No, Radical Moderate ridiculed someone who came in asking a question and did not like the detailed and substantive answers that question generated, including the noting of two extensive stories about LOCAL Tea Parties in the two Pittsburgh dailies, one of them a paper whose politics are so far-right they make Fox News look like NPR.

Yes, Radical Moderate did ridicule the conspiracy theory mentality of your comments, not because they were opposed to mine, because I stand with neither extreme. But the paranoia fairly gushed through all your comments, and it has the jittery, twisted logic that drives all conspiracy theorists. The fact you express yourself with hilariously stilted prose only makes it more amusing. Love to hear your views about flouridated water, Francis.

FRANCIS: "Should I brand you a typical leftist? Seems that way!"

You of all folks would be foolish enough to do so, I suppose. Note the slams in my posts on ACORN, Rev. Wright, NPR, etc. if you can find lefty politics in that, baby, have at it.

FRANCIS: "The Daily Mail in London took a lot of heat prior to ww2 because they felt an invasion of England was imminent based on feedback from their journalists and their sources throughout Europe and the world. They called it like they saw it. They faced ridicule even from the British government. Turns out they were right."

What does the Daily Mail in London circa 1940 have to do with US Tea Parties circa 2009? Have you noted the name of this forum? If so can you please explain the relevancy of your commentary to this forum? Do you know anything about the local dailies in Pittsburgh, one run by a moderate liberal family, the other by a far-right rich guy who uses it as a toy, pushing his agenda in a quite shoddy package.

FRANCIS:"My mission here can be summed up by stating this -Look past the rhetoric and seek the truth brother. Do your
job."

LOL! Your MISSION? Who are you? Ethan Hunt or Jim Phelps from "Mission Impossible?" the planet Remulac? Who SENT you on this "mission?" Colonel Kurtz? G. Gordon Liddy? Cartman from TV's "South Park?" Starfleet Command?

"Seek the truth brother?" Dawg, you ain't my brother for sure! And as far as doing my job, I do. You might take some time and figure out what your job is. Meantime, a lot of X-Files sites and forums would probably welcome you with open arms. They're always looking for a new Fox Mulder.

Over and out.
