I seriously doubt that the P-G "sent" either of them. It's more like, "I'm going to this, how about if I file some copy while I'm there instead of working in the office?" Looks to me like the son is a fan, he's too young to go alone and she goes along. There's a lot of this stuff going on at the P-G. Last year Colin Dunlap tried to track down Pirates prospect Pedro Alvarez on a personal trip to NYC.
