Yes, then everybody could go back to taking bets on whether he would actually make it to the game in time for kickoff or not like they used to do when he covered the Steelers for the VND.

As far as I know, he at least showed up when he was supposed to as Steelers beat writer, which is more than you can say for him as a sports editor at the VND.

Krchmar was a bigger loss for them.
