Some upset folks in the Ligonier area have heard Trib is closing the offices of the Ligonier Echo, a weekly Scaife bought as part of his Laurel Group Press purchase some years back. The Echo, after the Trib purchase, lost a lot of its shine with the locals in that clanny little hamlet. Scaife long maintained a residence outside the borough.

Did anyone think those little papers would last? Does anyone think GREENSBURG as a separate entity will last?

No rumors here. Greensburg has lost its shine and no
