What do the numbers say about this show -- as in, does anybody watch it? How big are the audience and ratings? They are against all the national news related shows on Sunday mornings. I guess you have to give some props to the fact it is about 20 years on the tube, so advertisers might like it OK.

Craig saw it as an advertising or PR vehicle -- look at us, the big deal newspaper organization here, with the big deal TV news operation here. As for content, he probably thought it doesn't matter -- anyone can fake it, even Shribman, just so you see the name Post-Gazette and are more likely to buy it. But has the show broken any big news in its 20 years, anything you can remember the show actually gave the world in terms of big news? Just a fireside chat with people on one or both sides of current issues but not moving the news needle ahead, though maybe enhancing viewers' (if there are any) understanding of the issues. It keeps on chugging, so someone must be watching, unless KD writes some off as public benefit telecasting -- the theory being the well informed citizenry due to the actions of the fourth estate makes America or at least Pittsburgh better and smarter.
