I really enjoyed the show last night. I went into watching is without any preconceived notions of what it might be like and I really, really enjoyed it. It was great to see Tim Conway again - he's been a favorite of mine since childhood. I think he and Jeff's interaction was great. Chip was also great as the host keep things flowing along.

I read where a lot of people are comparing On The Spot to the Live Drew shows and I have to disagree with the theory that they are alike. The Live Drew shows, although there was the aspect of improv, were clearly fully scripted shows. The improv was in addition to, not a major part of the the plot. On The Spot is more of a long improvisational piece and I actually wonder how much of the script was used and how much got changed because of the improv that was done. Also, in the Live Drew shows, Brad was interrupting and giving the improv suggestions. With On The Spot is was fully coming from the audience (although Chip did have some say in what was finally chosen). I'd have to say if there was a show which I'd say it was most like it would have to be Whose Line - and that would only be a loose association because of the improv.

If anyone looking for screen grabs I'll have them up on the site later this morning/afternoon. You can go mine and Jean's website at www.geocities.com/improbable_mission and there is a link of the front page for our On The Spot section.
