Why fans can't stand JAVA:

1) Antonio and Jessica first met when Jessica was barely in her teens, still relatively a little-girl dating Cristian - and Antonio was a full-grown adult just let out of prison! Something that for most people is definitely hard to overlook.

2) The two characters rarely ever shared any scenes together in that near-decade time span. Bring on Bree Williamson as the new Jessica, and suddenly they're siamese twins.

3) Jessica dated Cristian FOREVER, and TPTB start writing Cristian as a cheerleader for his brother and Jessica. HUH?!?

4) Antonio's own storyline is a square-peg shoved into a round-hole in order to make the Jessica pairing fly. His delivery resorted to hysterics, which was met with much criticism. THEN the writers acted as if they 'meant' for that to happen, and made it an element of the story. Keri was transformed from Antonio's true-love into a nutjob designed to 'threaten' Antonio and Jessica, and win us over. (Like everything eles they've tried, it's not working.)

5) Jessica - along with her family - has seemingly BEN lobotomized to gain acceptance of this couple. Nobody there remembers that it was ANTONIO who shot Viki's husband and put him in the coma in which he lies today? Apparently being totally oblivious to that, Viki has actually become a staunch supporter of Jessica's romance with Antonio. I guess the writers figure if Viki, Joey, Cristian, and Natalie 'TELL THE AUDIENCE' to support JAVA, then we're all supposed to.

6) NO CHEMISTRY. There is no rhyme or reason behind this pairing. The plot has forcefully driven these two together, in spite of the face that they're not very interesting to watch. Having a hot-tempered, rough-around-the-edges guy from Angel-square have raunchy sex with the rich debutant is NOT the automatic formula to success.

Jessica and Antonio need to be split up and paired with other people, hopefully in their own age-groups. The sooner, the better.
