Subject: GREAT SPOILER: We (and nearly every other OLTL viewer on earth) have finally been heard.... JAVA has officially ran out of steam! (click to read full story)

FINALLY, the powers that be at ABC Daytime have acknowledged that their pairing of Jessica and Antonio is a DISASTER.

ABC has reportedly given the executive orders for OLTL to scrap the Jessica/Antonio storyline, and move the two characters in different romanctic directions. Throughout the last 6 months, puzzled insiders have consistently reported that OLTL and Brian Frons were strangely committed to selling this couple to the audience - in spite of what was clearly a fierce, negative reaction by most fans.

There have been other reports that the 'JAVA' campaign was in fact an effort organized by some lower-level ABC publicity staff (at the direction of the higher-ups) to manipulate a fan base... Apparently, ABC wanted to create the ILLUSION that Antonio & Jessica were popular (now, get this!) in the hopes that other fans would jump on this made-up bandwagon. Another insider even revealed that their online fan-club has dozens of made-up registrations, or fake identities, as part of the charade.

Still, no one is able to figure out why ABC and headwriters Josh Griffith and Michael Malone were so gung-ho for the storyline. Word is that even executive producer Frank Valentini was apprehensive about this pairing from the start.

Reportedly, Kamar De Los Reyes himself isn't thrilled with the results of JAVA: Antonio's character was branded a near-child predator all over the internet (it's been mentioned endlessly that Jessica was practically a little girl when she first met a full-grown-and-just-released-from-prison Antonio). And his storyline with Jessica seemingly caused the Antonio character to develop an unbelievably bad temper.

As well, it seems the Antonio/Jessica romance reversed what was once a warm-welcome for recast Bree Williamson: NuJessica started out impressing the audience immediately, mostly placed in scenes with Natalie and Viki. Once paired with Antonio, audience reaction to Williamson's Jessica has done a near-180 turn.

ABC hopes that this move will salvage the near-disintegration of both characters. Expect for Jessica & Antonio to have called it quits by early in the new year.
