im having close to the same problem i have a 97 gsxr 750, when i press the ignition switch it turns over but wont start.what i suggest if u want to do the work yourself you get the repair manual and follow the trouble shooting guide it will take you step by step until you find your problem.like my dad says start with the cheapist and work your way back. If not save yourself some frustration and find a good mechanic
