Subject: blown main fuse

My main fuse is blowing. i put a new one in and i can turn the bike on and it will run. when i put the tail on and try to take it for a test spin, it blows before i get it out of the garage. i just bought it and only have put about 150 miles on. Could someone give some ideas about the most common cause of this?
