With the bike on its kick stand or jack stand, flip up the left rear foot peg. "this is for your reference point" With the foot peg up, put your hand on the tip of the foot peg and reach directly behind it as if the wheel were removed and you were looking behind the seat lock mechanism. There you'll see a square looking box with two slots in it. You'll need a sturdy screw driver to pry the lock box cover off. Its eazy. Once done it exposes the cable linkage. At the rear of the seat lock box you will see the cable linkage.Press it down with your thumb and it will release the seat. Replace the cable and reinstall the cover.
