Subject: F1 Indicator flashing and red light stays on

My 2000 gsxr is showing a F1 flashing and the red light on the cluster stayes on. Its never done this and has never been laid down. Its not the layover switch because it cranks and runs. Anyone with any idea of the problem please let me know. Thanks alot for any info, Jonathan
