Hello, Diane:

Summer is usually a fallow time for me as far as Writing goes, with my kids out of school and all. As you know, we'll also be spending about six weeks on Vancouver Island and I intend to take a good break from it. I'd hoped to have some replies to some submissions before we leave in a little over two weeks, but it's not looking hopeful for that. I'm debating right now whether I should go to the expense of having my mail forwarded.

You're right, a lot of litmags go dormant in the summer especially the academic ones, and I've had a small flurry of rejections lately, too.

Cheers,

Lori
