There of course are a number of ways of doing this.... one way would not eat up events but would eat up "units".....

Example: "Summer of 1942 German Offense" Theater Option
Say available to German player from May 1st through July 1st.....(add a bit of mystery for the Russian side)

Create a "Summer of 1942 German Offense" formation.... this would represent the regiments of infantry, armor, supply units that the Germans directed towards Blau (player of course could do somthing else with them"....

This formation would withdraw say after 6 weeks (marking the end of this offense)

No major impact on Events....

Could of course add air shock, perhaps replacement increase during this offensive time but avoid the overall "Shock" to the whole German Army....
