This is Jeff, the Crew Chief for the #18. I personally want to thank every driver, crew chief, crew member, track official, emergency staff, fans, Preacher Todd, Arlene, Wendy, Tracy, Stone Cold, Sheila, Tory, Dennis, Wiley and many others for the support that we have received. It has been overwhelming and we thank you so much. Just to give you an update:
Donnie is doing much better, just tired and weak right now. He came home from the hospital Sunday morning.
The two young ladies that fell from the car are doing much better. One has a minor concussion and scrapes but was released Sunday Morning. The other young lady is still in ICU at the Children's Hospital in Macon. She has a bruised lung, broken nose, concussion, and numerous scrapes and bruises. She is still under sedation and wearing a neck brace. They have to wait until all of the swelling in her face has gone down in order to check for possible broken facial bones. She responds by squeezing your hand...so she knows what is going on.
My phone along with Donna's phone has been ringing off the hook. So I thought Iwould post this update for all of you that were there but have not received any further information. We have been to the hospital constantly and her father and mother is providing me with updates as they come available. They have been by her side every second.
Once again, thanks to Arlene, Bruce and his family for being at all of the hospitals during this tough time.
We will return to the race track but for the next couple of weeks we are taking time off to recover from the event.
Thanks for the good comments concerning winning the track championship. It was our goal as a team at the beginning of the season to the very end. We look forward to next year and being around our entire racing family.

I will keep you abreast of the medical updates as they become available.

Once again, thanks for your prayers but please keep praying. The young lady has a long road to recovery and our prayers and God's hand is the force behind her healing.

SIncerely,

Jeff
DMD Racing
