Pussy Poet - You are missing the point. Your poem is not only too long, it lacks simplicity.

It is very wordy. Take for example:

"We gays just want a date. We won't be out too late"

What are you trying to convey with this? Your poem gives me way too little mental imagery. Who is your audience?

Shorten it up, feel the haiku and roll with it.
