The dark-haired maiden stepped softly upon the fresh, soft dirt. It was Springtime at last. Oh how she adored Spring. Not too hot, or cold. And while she very mcuh enjoyed the rain, it was long overdue for some sun. The lands needed to awaken again. She longed to hear the birds chirp, and almost immediately, as if a sign from the gods, she heard the lovely sounds on the winged friends calling from the trees [[Ugh.. how mushy]]. She tilted her head to the side, and closed her eyes. She stood, basking in the warmth of the day, yet shaded from the bright sun in the deep forest. The girl inhaled deeply, breathing in the scents of nature, a mixture of dirt, trees, flowers.. and the fresh smell of Spring. Hard to describe really. Yet she loved it so. Her long dress dragged lightly behind her as she walked. The crushed velvet, colored a deep rose, was smooth against her skin, long sleeves hung a couple of inches from her wrist. Her curly tresses pulled messily into a loose bun. From her neck hung a chain of silver. The charm, was of an angel, made purely of silver. Her right hand showed glimpses of a ring, with a stone in the middle.. water flowly freely about inside. This, being her promise ring. She smiled to herself, and started singing.
She came upon a stream, the crisp, clear water swiftly traveling over a small community of pebbles. She dipped her hand in the cool liquid, and immediately a rush of joy ran through her. She lightly flicked water a a nearby squirel, and it scampered away quickly in suprise. She laughed out loud. She found a smooth rock to sit on, and seated herself comfortably by it. She wondered where the others were, it seemed like too beautiful of a day for them to not be out and about.
