[[Just a test post.. letting out some creative energy. Reply if you want. In fact, maybe.. you should. at least.. then there would be SOMETHING going on because NOBODY will POST!!!! No I'm not bitter. I'm not bitter at all.]]

The beautiful maiden sat upon her windowsill, gazing sadly down the empty paved road. Her hair hung loosely from her head, framing her tear stricken face. It was loosely curled, just flowing freely about. She wore a beautiful pink gown of satin. It was delicately laced in the front, much in the style of a corset, and drug slightly on the ground behind her. Around her she wore an elegant string of pearls, beautifully rounded and pearly white. She carried a black, beaded handbag.. barely large enough to hold her necessary belongings. On her feet she wore simple black heels, with black straps lacing up her ankle.

She kept her gaze steady although tears came streaming down her face. How could these streets be so empty? They usually were filled with a crowd of people, shopping at the stores or in the marketplace. She almost feeled out of place in the silence. And any silence at all made her think of what happened, for tonight was the 5 year anniversary of the event. It was so sudden, so tragic. Yet it was still there haunting her every day. If only her grief could pass as the incident had, she wouldn't spend countless hours crying herself to sleep. Maybe one day she would be happy. She would never know until she stopped missing them. The memories will always be there, she told herself, if only she would believe it.

She suddenly heard a noise down on the streets, and she rushed over to her window to see what it was. There were a couple of girls walking arm in arm down the street, dressed as extravagantly as she was. She decided it was time to go and so she quickly wiped away her tears and walked out the door. She stepped into the chilly air, and started walking quickly. All around her wind blew harshly into the dark night. She turned the corner and saw it. The ballroom. It was lit up beautifully and people poured in and out of the front doors.
