Forbidden darkness crept over like the dead hands of a giant closing decomposing fingers over the bright luminous glow of Sol. A shard of misty light was able to slither through the dank of raven cumulus shifting through the atmosphere. A roll of thunder passed tumbling over the lands and the sudden shatter of winds nearly knocked over the gigantic oaks that littered the brittle landscape. Tears began creasing the airs with their grief pouring into the harsh lithosphere. A crash of lightning impaled against one of the giants and flames began licking at the tangling limbs of the tree. The tender skin began peeling away as the harsh orange and red illumination tore and ripped the flesh of the boughs. Slowly it began to crawl downward biting deep towards the heart of the plant life. The crying of the heavens seemed to cease, watching the demise of the massive tree. Finally the crystalline drops began cascading down once more pounding into the inferno and leaving a trail of smoke floating in the obscure darkness that could not be penetrated even by the now diminished flames. The haze of smoke crept into the aerosphere and wafted away in the next blast of air sending the sound of rattling bones across the treetops. It was a night in the graveyard, nothing new and everything was old.

Scarlet optics gleamed, the only thing bright in the harshness of the pitch surrounding. From the silhouette of an angel came the agile form of a demon. Extended incisors gleamed furiously crimson drops still dripping from the recent stabbing. It could still remember the living flesh beneath the razor-like fangs. And sliding into that pale skin the swift rush of blood under the skin, and then into it's own corpse. It was equivalent to getting drunk, if the blood was right. The human’s blood had been perfect, near perfect. The tainted creature of the night had been exalted at the silky feeling that came from the feeding. Now the being stalked the towering tombstones with a predatorial grace. Horrible and beautiful to watch at the same time. Everything and nothing composed into a single killer that stalked the most formidable prey of all. It was the top of the food chain, it’s only prey that of the highest evolution.

My victims scream Alexander when I take their life. My friends call me Alex I've known them for the 167 years I've walked the earth. The police are constantly on the look-out for my 6' 2" figure. And warn people of a black haired and olive skinned young man with peircing green eyes.
