That's tough. That's what comes with being a player's gf. They move around alot and sometimes even the nicest guys are influenced to cheat just by the pressure on the team and the loneliness of missing their gf.
One thing i would suggest is not to change your future plans just because of him. You're still young, and he could be traded anywhere at anytime and there would be nothing you could do about it.
My friend was dating one of the knights and so arranged to go to school in london. But a month after she got here he dumped her. I thought they were totally in love. Not saying this would happen to you but especially when dealing with an athlete, its best not to let your life depend on them and where they are.
If he has a passion for hockey, tell him he should take it and go for it. Who knows, things might work out. If not, maybe taking a break and you exploring the college life would be what is best. You may even get back together once you realize what you have been missing.
