Subject: The Goddess of Morkum

The Goddess of Morkum

There was a Goddess. She lived in the land of Morkum.
Her beauty was ancient, yet divine. Her name was Parthona.
She was known as Parthona of Morkum.
For she was born of Morkum's nurturing and enchanted land.
She sat alone in her Castle waiting for her Knight.
But the path to Morkum and to her Castle was dark and dangerous.
Many Knights had journeyed to meet the goddess and none had survived.
The one to make it the farthest was impaled by the gate of her Castle.
He was driven into it by a viscious creature of unknown origin.
It was said to be part man, part crocodile and part vulcher.

A man came with an army, he did not survive and neither did the army.
How could her Knight be expected to survive his quest.
But they still came. They still sought out the Goddess of Morkum.
She hated to see them die.
But she was a prisoner in her own castle.
An evil wizard and his witch mistress locked her away.
For they wanted Morkum for themselves and the Goddess was in their way.
They could not kill her. For if they did Morkum would just waste away.
So they imprisoned her in the Castle of Morkum which was her hom and her
curse.

She yearned for a lover, for her Knight.
But she was kept from him by the wizard, and his witch mistress.
The wizard was Kelo, the witch was Kala.
They ruled Morkum now. They created the creatures which terrorized its countryside.

They were the destroyers of armies, the murderers of knights and anyone who tried to
free Parthona the Goddess of Morkum.

But one would soon come to challenge their dominion.
Gregor Turnich was the General in Kelo, and Kala's mercenary army.
It was an army of creatures they had created and men out for wealth, prestige and power.

Some of the men were changed forever by their greed and by the evil magic that held them.
For they were now minions of Kelo and Kala.

Gregor tried to make the Goddess his slave. She would not allow it. Parthona was powerful
but not strong enough to fight Kelo and Kala alone.

Another Knight came into Morkum.
It was his destiny.
He was called Merseus
He led with him two other knights.

Vlad Terminus, and Drazen Finlowe who he had fought side by side with for the Kingdom
of Lokan.

For King Durno and Queen Arana.

They sent Merseus to Morkum for he was Lokan's greatest champion.
An Oracle had foretold it in the Propecy of Merseus and the Goddess.

Merseus reached Morkum and encountered the creature that was part man, part crocodile
and part Vulcher, Called the Crolcher.

It walked the land, flew in the air and was the watchman for Kelo and Kala.
Some had escaped the Crolcher but most had been ripped to shreds by it one way
or another.

Merseus, Vlad and Drazen fought the Crolcher.

Merseus managed to get behind the Crolcher, nearly was tripped up by its large tale.
He Lunged in the air, weilding his sword like a daggar, pluging it into the beasts neck.
Then He took another swing with his sword cutting off the Crolchers head.
The Great Beast was finally dead.

Gregor Turnich heard of the Crolchers death from his advance scouts.
They were skeleton Warriors hidden in the forests.
Merseus, Vlad and Drazen were entering those very forests of Morkum.

The Skeleton Warriors waited until they were in a clearing and then ambushed
Merseus, Vlad and Drazen.

Parthona could feel them coming. She could feel the one she yearned to know.
The one she had known in another place, another time, another life.

Merseus, Drazen and Vlad faced the savage Skeleton Warriors, they were camoflaged by
bark, grass and the very leaves of the trees.

Merseus could feel them.
He could feel them approaching.

The Skeletons came.
The Warriors of Darkness and greed.

Merseus fought them along with is brothers in arms

The Warriors of the Skeleton soon fell. One by one, Merseus put down the
Savage horde of Skeleton Warriors.

Fighting with Sword, Shield, Sledgehammer, heart and soul, blood and sweat.
He was fighting for more then just himself, he was fighting for his King, his Queen,
his Brothers in Arms and the Mysterious yet enchanted Goddess of Morkum. It was his
duty and his destiny, to help those in trouble.

Kelo and Kala feared Merseus.
Gregor Turnich their general had never seen such a powerful man. He could not be Mortal
he thought. He vowed even so to destroy Merseus for Kelo and Kala.

Kelo and Kala had other surprises for Merseus and his friends.
They got high on Human sacrifices.
They planned to capture Merseus and throw him in the pit of demons.

Meanwhile they dispatched another of their minions to take care of Merseus
and his friends.
The Vampiress Yirina.

As the weary Warriors slept Merseus standing watch over his friends as they slept
the Vampiress Yirina came.

It was then time for Merseus to sleep
and for Vlad Terminus to stand watch.

He did and felt the shroud of the temptress, the vampiress.
Yirina was a beautiful and sensual enchantress with a dark soul.
She tasted Vlad's lips, and then dug her nails into his back.
Her Fangs exposed she tasted his blood, and took his sword,
stabbing his sleeping friend Drazen Finlowe.
She tried to do the same to Merseus but he could feel her coming.
He Could feel her evil. He drove a daggar thru her, and impaled her onto the stump of
a tree. Watching as she exploded when the sun again came out.

Merseus continued his quest alone.
He made it to the Castle of Morkum
where the Goddess Parthona was trapped.
He swam the moat evading the darkness that lived within its waters.
He cut the chains to the Drawbridge, and slid under the crashing gates of hell.
He found the Goddess Parthona.
She knew this Knight, this Warrior Merseus was her destiny.
But waiting for Merseus in the Castle was Gregor Turnich and a couple of his best Skeleton
Warriors. The Generals Royal Guard. Again the Skeleton Warriors were no match for
Merseus. Merseus fought Turnich to a standstill and Turnich nearly gained the upperhand
but the Goddess Parthona stabbed him in the neck with a daggar she had kept hidden
for so long. She knew if Turnich destroyed Merseus she would have to live with the pain
and suffering of her prison and Turnich's Evil and digusting advances.

Merseus took an axe and sliced off Turnich's head with one quick blow.

He held on to Parthona until Kelo and Kala came.

They overwhelmed him with their magic, and tossed him into the pit of demons.

Inside the pit were Carnevoras demons who were hungry for new Blood to feed on.
But they were not prepared to face Merseus.

Deep within the pit was a Crystal sword that was thought to have been lossed forever.

The sword was a mixture of Blue and Green.

It was both myth and magic, as Merseus found it and used it to slay the demons.

He found a secret passage out of the pit and faced Kelo and Kala with Parthona by his side.

Merseus facing Kelo, the Crystal sword blocking his magic. So they fought on swords crossing
paths. While Parthona and Kala were involved in a catfight of their own.

Merseus had not slain all the demons in the pit.
One had survived that no magic could destroy.
Parthona managed to fling Kala into the Pit where she was devoured by this demon.

This Demon had been in the pit long before Kelo and Kala arrived. It was created
by Parthona's mother and father to protect Morkum. It knew that Merseus was Morkum's
Savior and Parthona's chosen Knight.

Meanwhile Merseus overpowered Kelo and he too entered the pit. Pulling Merseus back
in with him. But he had not seen Kala's fate. He turned around to find the Demon
breathing down his neck. He felt a terror he had never known before as the Demon
Vincius destroyed the Evil that had Tainted Morkum for so long.

Vincius was made Guardian of Morkum once again.

While Merseus and Parthona ruled the land together.

Their first visitors were King Durno and Queen Arana of Lokan.

A Celebration was held
As the Goddess of Morkum
had regained her Rightful place
as the Ruler of Morkum
with her King next to her.
King Merseus.

After the celebration
they retired to their chambers
as Merseus tasted Parthona's intoxicating kiss, taking in her scent of passion and desire.
As they made love.
One Quest was Complete
Other Journeys would eventually lead
To peace across the lands.
But those are other stories
waiting to be told.
But for now there was peace
in Morkum
as Merseus and Parthona took care of this Paradise of a land.
