Subject: Greetings from Ireland

I made it here, on time. Checked into my hotel right across from Shannon Airport. I was lucky to get my room early, so caught a nap, then had some lunch, now just decided to walk back over to the airport to exchange some more money. Still getting used to these Euros!! The flight here was very smooth, well except for the fact that I nearly missed it! When I landed in Philly, the board said we were delayed till 10, so I took a walk, stopped to get a little something to eat, got to the gate over an hour before we were supposed to leave, and they were paging me, and others! I guess shortly after I left the gate for my walk they must have figured out they could leave on time (apparently the mechnical difficulties got fixed quickly)! I don't think I'll wander from the gate that far again. I got talking to a man in the resturant named Frank from Galway - he was to be on my flight. I left him as he was drinking gin and tonics like water. I don't think Frank made the flight.

Well that's it for now. Not much to do around here. There are buses that take you to Limmerck but I think I am still a bit too jet lagged for that. I am going back to the hotel and see if I can find anyone from my tour group - we don't officially start till morning. I did meet a few women early this morning. Will continue updates if I stumble across internet access again.
