] Date Posted: Tue, Feb 28 2006, 11:33:18 In reply to: Edwin 's message, "Encounter with Oriental Travels" on Sun, Nov 09 2003, 11:45:10 I've just got a similar experience too. the lady telemarketeer is by the name of Jane (Tel : 6836 7621)and her senior is Shah. My appointment date supposed to be 2 March 06 (Thur), 3pm at 350 Orchard Road, #12-08/09/10, Shaw House, Singapore 238868. They said this is the VIP timeslot and i will be entitled the $1000 discount for my bookings with their listed travel agencies; Chan Brothers, was one of agencies they quoted. The awards dept was very prompt in sending to me the email notification on the awards claim, soon after i confirmed my appointment with them. luckily, i checked up the internet and found this forum, hence quickly call them back to cancel the appointment. This lady telemarketeer has to LL accept my reasons and ask me for references, such as my family members or frieds/colleagues. I declined. Nearly fall into their trap...phew! All readers - pls beware! Don't get tempted and tricked by this. Don't need to waste your time...... [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: Wed, Mar 01 2006, 23:38:34 FINALLY!!! Got my money back! All S$3000. Signed up with CASE. Paid S$35. CASE wrote a letter to them and within 2 weeks, I got a call from OT that I can collect my money from them. My case was strong as I had sent the letter to OT within the cooling off period (3 days). Thus OT has no grounds not to pay back. Why I went to CASE and paid S$35 was because OT started the buying time game with me emailing me to tell me that I have to wait 3 more weeks because they have run out of signed cheques and they have to wait for the signee to return back to Singapore from an overseas trip. CRAP! After CASE wrote them a letter, within 10 days I got a phone call from OT to tell me to come pickup the cheque from them. Your case is strong if you have sent the letter (Notice of Cancellation) back to OT and ensure that you have a signed and chopped proof. I even went to the extent of doing a Local Urgent Mail service to ensure that I have proof of delivery (paid another few tens of dollars on that!) plus I went there personally and got them to sign and chop another identical letter (photocopied!). If not for CASE, I would be in the waiting game at OT's mercy. Rest assured the company is still alive and still on at their scams. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
