Sorry, I have to disagree with Naresh. Just read the post by Vini & Jaws and how they got their money back even after the "cooling-off" period.
The misrepresentations by OT are clearly in violation of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. Furthermore, if this is constantly and consistently done, it should constitute an intent to cheat.

Today I got a call from this company. They said they are calling from starhub and offering me a free digital camera for being a loyal customer for 4 years. When I ask them to send me a letter of the same, they sent me the following email (see below). I was already aware of this company OT TRAVEL PTE. LTD.,(Oriental Travel). I had a bad experience with them. They called me for a free lecture and asked me to deposit S$10,000 for some stupid plan of theirs. Luckly I was brave enough to say NO to them and walk away without signing anything. Now, they try to fool me again. This is for any one who also gets a similar email, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. NOTHING IS FREE IN THIS WORLD.

RE: ARCHIVE OF PREVIOUS EVENTS UNDER CURRENT PROMOTION FOR OT TRAVEL PTE. LTD.

As previously stated, this event is a genuine advertising promotion to introduce the services of a licensed travel agent.

Below are some (partial) documented examples from the National Press of members of the Singapore public receiving awards from the sponsoring company.

This letter is for your perusal only. This does not serve as your claim document of which you will be required to produce in order to claim your awards. Claim documents will be supplied upon confirming a mutually convenient time for collection.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, Hamiza directly on 6836 0053 to receive your official documents or for any further clarifications.

Yours sincerely,

Hamiza
