Hi past/present/possibly future timeshare victims

I was the one who posted these messages last year http://www.voy.com/161450/2/412.html & http://www.voy.com/161450/2/428.html. I do not have any timeshare worries now because I did not make full payment & the Regency Leisure Development has wound up last year Nov. This forum has prevented me from making another big mistake.

Facts you can use to protect yourselves/work to your advantage, regardless which company you have signed your timeshare junk with:

1) Never leave your full name here, preferably not even a part of your name.

2) Discipline yourself to keep a log of all the main details of your progress/experience regarding your case, in case you need it suddenly for reporting.

3) Timeshare Association of Singapore which was owned by RCI and existed side by side in UIC building, ceased to exist around the time CASE came up with the Fair Trading Act last year March. RCI is currently @ Cross Street.

4) Regency Leisure Development has wound up and here's an excerpt from this link: http://bankrupt.com/TCRAP_Public/041209.mbx

REGENCY LEISURE: Court Issues Winding Up Order
----------------------------------------------
In the matter of Regency Leisure Development Private
Limited, a Winding Up Order was made on the 19th day of November
2004.

Name and address of Liquidator: The Official Receiver
Insolvency & Public Trustee's Office
The URA Centre (East Wing)
45 Maxwell Road #06-11
Singapore 069118

Ling Das & Partners
Solicitors for the Petitioner

This Singapore Government Gazette notice is dated December 3,
2004.

5) Since Nov last year, Calypso Resort is no longer part of RCI exchange and only RCI members receive a copy of this notice.

6) Small claims (up to $10k) do not handle pursuance of debts for timeshare related stuff.

7) In Singapore, a person who cannot pay a Singapore $10k debt can be made bankrupt so manage your cashflow, it can possibly work for you and more paperwork for them. http://www.sfdonline.org/Link%20Pages/Link%20Folders/02Pf/bday140102.html

8) A letter written by lawyer should bear the letterhead of the law firm and its address, not the client's letterhead.

9) Only lawyers can issue in their letters, on behalf of their clients to proceed with legal proceedings if payment is not received within a certain number of days stated in the letters. Employees/Officers/Directors of companies cannot do so like lawyers, there are legal implications if they follow the lawyers wordings without engaging the lawyers.

10) Spread your payments with cheques (for tracking), not GIRO, not credit cards and definitely not credit lines. Insists on getting receipt for every single payment which should bear the company name and company stamp.

Tricks we can use to gain awareness and leverage on each other's effort as a Team:

A) Make full use of how search engines work on the internet. When posting messages here, for the subject title, type the full name of the company and ignore the "Pte Ltd" instead of using abbreviations alone. We will end up helping others from all over the world to find us more easily.

B) Whenever you surf the net, keep coming back in here to click on the subject title with company names spelt in full like the one I've done for this posting. Some of the search engines rank by frequency of visits to the website. The spies of timeshare companies who visit this forum of ours will aid us in achieving this objective when they keep coming back regularly to read what we have to type in here.

C) Forward this link to your personal contacts to spread to their personal contacts, use the MLM concept.

I believe there's a syndicate behind this timeshare nonsense which shares our personal particulars without our consent.

Teamwork is needed immediately and your effort here is intended to work for you & your loved ones in the future. I'm currently exploring some ideas which have not been stated here and I won't either so that the spies from timeshare companies have to keep figuring out what's next.

Best of luck!
