] Date Posted: Sun, Feb 19 2006, 14:36:32 Hi... I recently purchased this vacation membership with Grand Seasons International. it cost 13.8k and we paid a 300 deposit on the very same day.. that was sometime in Oct last year. However, the next day, my bf and I decided to pull out and we called up the place. They said I have to sigh the termination form. But he said that we can reconsider, and if in the near future that we do not want it anymore, we can cancel it but only the deposit will be forfeited, as it will be a loss for us if we cancel it then. (we can take a look at the service 1st). so we decided not to. Then in jan 06 we made the 2nd payment of 200 for the deposit. Then i chanced upon this website and to my horror, found out that I was conned. As we hv made arrangements for the monthly instalments be paid thru GIRO, we quickly cancelled it. My question is... Amm I able to terminate the membership? Will there be any legal suit? etc. etc.... I really don't know the steps to take and would like to hear some opinion b4 making a final decision.... Thanks.
