Date Posted: Tue, Jul 12 2005, 21:19:48 Hi, i bought the membership on december 2002, and i've never stopped regretting. The experience was roughly about the same as everyone experienced. Hard-sell tactics, extremely long talks, lure of vacation trip and other prizes over the phone just to make you come in for the talks. They caught me at the right time i have to say. December, and i just got my bonus. Probably one of their tactics as well. I was served by this pleasant lady if i remembered correctly her name was flora. We engaged in hours of long bargaining which i eventually relented into buying a $10k membership. I paid $4k for my initial deposit and the rest by monthly instalments. Although i did regret about my decision, i have never suspected a thing till a year later 2003, when i read from newspaper about those time-share companies, and then a program on tv which talked about the issue of consumers being conned into buying these membership through hard-sell tactics. Even though i realised the notion of me being conned, i still had a little optimism in me that it wouldnt be that bad as i have NEVER BOOKED a holiday as yet!!! I have already paid up the full $10k. Not really keen on trying booking holidays through them after all the things i've heard from everyone who got a piece to say about time-share holidays. They called me up last march or april i forgot, asking me if want to "upgrade" my membership as they're "phasing-out" my policy. I actually went down to hear what they had to say, and hoping that i can sell them back that membership. I eventually got into a heated arguement with that guy and we threatened to sue each other. He told me i was bounded by contract i signed, to pay up the maintenance fee every alternate years.(mine is an alternate year plan) In any case i really dont know what to do with that stupid membership and i really dont want to pay a single cent more... Please can anyone advise me on what to do? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Wed, Jul 20 2005, 18:03:22 Dear Trey, Be cool and steady with thing that have happenned. A few suggestions for your consideration, since you have already paid up all the member fee of 10K; 1. If you have not used the resort, try book it and see what they offer you since you are entitle for it. - find out whether did they offer what you are paying for the club membership, togehter with all the free and easy holiday. it is important to keep a record 2. keep all your document that you have signed with them and read it through again to get a better understanding of IRN and ATC relationship in this deal that you are in. In the other word find out who are you facing now,, IRN or ATC. 3. Read you contract and understand and clear mind of what you are in now, it is important to keep all you transation script that you are deal with this matter for later use. 4. Talk to your consumer dept(or CASE?) for legal advise about you case and consumer rights. They must be able to assist you on the right path, they are the expert on this area and are pay to work to serve the community. Keep in mind that only sincere service minded businessman with Truth heart can withstand time justification. Trust your country authority which is highly professionism and fully stand on justice and consumer side. Keep thinking Possitive and I fully believed that "There is always a way out" for this case. God Bless and keep you peace in heart. ATC member since 2003 OGY [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
