THey told me that since i only paid half i cannot book online they will issue me after i paid the full amount but i can activate their so called extra advantage which is 3 hotel nites at US$120. I intended to book 2 hotel rooms at bintan for 2 nites. She explained to me since its a total of 4 nites i will need to pay USD240(excluding USD15/nite booking fee) for 6 days. Thats 2 extra nites. I ask her why i need to pay for another 2 nites she explain dats bcoz the EA comes in blocks of 3nites but i can use the extra 2nites for future travels. I feel that this plan is not flexible. U pay $ for future unused hotel rooms which god knows when u will go for another holiday. Another thing is they are charging SGD1.65 for every USD1 when the market rate is SGD1.6 for USD1. What i am pissed off is that during the presentation they showed me the $ which i can save if i sign up with them. Since it is $8000 for 10yrs, upon activation i am entitled to 10 free hotel nites per yr. After going bk n do some calculation i realise that by forking out 8K, i am already paying $80 per nite excluding booking fees!!! Even if i did not use the 10 free nites i still need to pay $350 subscription fee. The cash bk for not using the free nites is $600 but i only get bk $250 per yr if i minus off the fee. They keep showing u the $ saved but u 4get the hidden costs e.g. the upfront payment and the yearly subscriptions. Wif so many restrictions i find it very inconvenient to book thru them worst still is that i have yet to start the installament. I have to pay $4K for the next 2yrs. Han - u seems to have a better deal?? did they say wat so call advantages u will hv??? maybe u have a different scheme than mine. Double standards???? Date Posted: Sat, Apr 22 2006, 18:40:40 Hi Yap, I get the same extra advantage things tat not tat i have to purchased the block of 3 and got to pay the booking fee. Since mine is non rebate package and i pay straight thru, i was charged $5k. Why i chose this previously is tat, after calculating of the free nights, the plan got great this disadvantage. Coz even we go rebate we are practically paying them $200 every year + the yearly subscription. While i manage to reduced my subscription to $250 yearly, coz i was almost out but they got me in again. Stupid me. So i got like $75/nite excluding booking fee, which might be ok for really high end hotel but I dont know if there is alot of hassle to get this hotel booking. I also have not received the user id and password, they said that i have to activate my account which means start paying 250 every year. I have not used this extra advantage as well as I am quite busy with my work, only got weekends to spare. Thinking again, since im a software developer, i will surely have not the luxury of using this 10days. If anyone has any solution to sell this off, please let me know. Even at 1k loss, i wouldnt mind, rather than losing the whole lot. Btw, how does your booking goes? Is there any hassle? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
