] Date Posted: Wed, Oct 19 2005, 15:59:09 Hi there, Anyone have successful & pleasant experience with OBN? They claim they are able to terminate my timeshare (ATC) and cashback program (within 36 months)...! Condition for the above to happen is to join their club at 38K+++. After trade-in my ATC, still to top up 18k+++...! Anyone would like to share/advise...? Many thanks, o_help [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: Fri, Oct 21 2005, 2:48:50 I guess you should still remember your objectives in selling the timeshare. What you really wanted is to get out of this. But why would you even consider placing another $18,000 into this bottomless pit? Do you mean it cost an additional $18K to get your timeshare to be sold off? What kind of deal is this? Try reading this http://www.voy.com/161450/1191.html to understand more on timeshare resale. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Sun, Oct 23 2005, 20:29:51 Hi guys, I think we should hold our hoses and not bring down help that is available out there. I USED to be an owner of ATC lifetime because I've been able to legally cancel my legal binding liabilities (maintanance fees) with both the developers and marketing company already. Not only did I see their lawyers to confirm the termination; I've also recieved a letter from the developers that I'm no longer a member of theirs. Now that my timeshare is gone, without any obligations, I've already been to Bangkok twice and I am leaving for Hongkong next week. My travelling needs are now taken care of by orions and it's truely been cost-effective and the service is decent. If you guys have any questions, you may forward them to cheesunlee@yahoo.com [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Sat, Oct 29 2005, 9:37:34 Are u advertising for Orion Belt Network or ATC? How about telling us how much and when u purchased ATC membership and what is your membership (how many Beds). Well ATC doesn't have a Lifetime membership. They tell you it is 30 yrs and renewable for a fee after 30 yrs (goodness knows how much). Good of u to have given up the headache. Since u have paid in full, ATC can be gracious to terminate your membership and saving u the headache of paying the ever increasing Maintenance Fees! So what does Orion Belt Network offer you other than helping u sell off your membership? Perhaps u can give us poor victims the details about how OBN helps u; how much they charge etc. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Mon, Oct 31 2005, 2:16:43 Im interested to know how u terminated your ATC membership too since i am trying to do so too. But you said: 'Now that my timeshare is gone, without any obligations, I've already been to Bangkok twice and I am leaving for Hongkong next week. My travelling needs are now taken care of by orions and it's truely been cost-effective and the service is decent.' sound like u bought another club membership and traded in your ATC membership, rather than just terminate the ATC membership. Date Posted: Sun, May 07 2006, 22:44:53 U guys, i went to orion just today. did not commit to anything. I am now really thinking if anything can really be done. I know a lawyer and would probably ask him for advice in this matter. really want to terminate this thing and of course would like to get some cash back in the process. i was thinking of gathering as many of us victims together and work on this just like the movie erin brockovich. *sigh* [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Wed, May 24 2006, 20:07:56 Action speaks louder than word… I bought a membership from “Oriental Travel” in 2005 and have since tried to seek for a refund but the terms offered by the company (Oriental Travel) is unacceptable. I was also approached by OBN. After reading these threads… I am totally skeptical but will still go with an open mind, in case it works for me as there isn’t a victim from OT yet and I agree that all contracts are different. I did my homework (too late though) as I am more careful now that I got conned by OT once. OBN may just be another timeshare (or scam) company but I do know that it is owned by a S’porean, Indian who resides in northern part of S’pore with a PUC of $40K. That is all I will say about OBN. I am appointing a reputable lawyer to sue OT, hoping to recover my money or remove them from the surface of S’pore if all else fail. OT is an entity owned by a UK company with PUC of $620K, although 1 British and 1 S’porean director has an address here. I am also liaising with someone who works in the press to get me the names of victims of OT. My appeal is this… We share the legal cost to sue OT We stand a better chance as a whole than individually We stop them from cheating others We will draw media intervention (and hopefully the government) if the case is blown to a proportional size As you may see from my genuine sharing of information that I am a REAL VICTIM, will stop at nothing to eliminate OT from S’pore. Drop me a line if you are interested to join in the battle with me. We may just get back what was rightfully ours or “kill” OT off. mel_mel_me@yahoo.com.sg [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
